PAOLO CESARETTI
After his degree in Architecture in Florence, thanks to a UE scholarship, he moved to Amsterdam where he worked to the plan of the living development of the previous industrial area Zeeburgereiland with UN Studio. Back to Milan, he becomes responsible for interior design at Von Klier Associati till 1998 and works for customers such as Olivetti, Omnitel, Lancia/Fiat Auto, Ferrovie dello Stato. He also wins the first award during the competition for “Unicef Meeting Points”.
Form 1998 he is partner with Cristiana Vannini of the VC A, Vannini Cesaretti Architects. The office deals with communication architecture planning in particular for companies, public and private customers in the field of information technology, of fashion, of entertainment and of culture. The favourite areas of study are interior and exhibit design for commercial and expositive places, both permanent and temporary. Additional working areas are product design and interior planning, from the design of single furniture to more complex living spaces. Together, Vannini & Cesaretti, won in 2001 the competition for the iamge of the new bank branch of Fideuram Bank; in 2002 they completed the image project for Borbonese stores in Europe and Japan. In 2003 VC A obtained the second prize in the section Interior Design at the National Competition of Ideas for the Ideal Office proclaimed by Italian Prime Minister’s Office. They are also authors of the expositive plan for the great distribution of the finish program for the house United Colors of Benetton (ADI Design Index 2004 selection). Their job has been part of the Exhibition “Vuoto X Pieno_Architettura Temporanea in Italia” at Milan Triennale. Actually VC A is studying a new communication project for Ipercoop stores.
Paolo Cesaretti is also professor for the Master in Interior Design at Polytechnic School of Design, he cooperates with Domus Academy, Roger Williams University and Milan Polytechnic. He is also foundation member of IDEA, Italian Association of Exhibition Designers.
