MAURIZIO DI PUOLO

Maurizio Di Puolo is born in 1941 in Addis Abeba, after the architecture degree he founds in 1965 the Studio Metaimago in Rome.
He is specialized in museography and exhibit design, is professor in the faculties of Architecture and Industrial Design of some Italian Universities, La Sapienza of Rome, Ferrara, Naples, he cooperates also at master and doctorate courses, among which we remember the Master IDEA in Exhibition Desin_Architettura dell’esporre at Milan Polytechnic.
He has important charges: responsible for the Exhibitions Sector of the Culture Council department of Rome district; responsible for the sector Grandi Mostre Arnoldo Mondadori, Milan; director and promoter of MUS.ARCH. National Museum of Architecture in Ferrara; member of the editing board of EXPORRE; promoting partner of AAA, Association Architecture Archives, Ferrara; promoter of Gallery AAM/Architecture; he cures the columns Art and Culture on Italian newspapers LA Repubblica and Il Messaggero; he cooperates with Bolaffi Arte; he is correspondent in Rome for the Journal of Art.

He participates to several conferences about the exhibit design, the industrial design and architecture.
His activity is focused in particular on the museums through the realization of exhibitions and museums arrangements.
Maurizio Di Puolo also deals with restoration and interior design, photographic campaigns and reportages, editing publications of book and catalogues. He obtains the first prize for the project “Nuove stazioni di servizio Agip” with Costantino Dardi and Nanni Morabito; he receives a mention during the Schindler’s Prize with the work “Risalire S. Marino” in 1994.
He cured several personal exhibitions of photos, among which we remember “Untitled”, photos from Maurizio Di Puolo’s archives, Ferrara 2004, Culture Institute “Casa Giorgio Cini”. ADI member and promoting partner of IDEA, Italian Association of Exhibition Designers.
