CRISTIANA VANNINI

Architect, she moves to Milan in 1998 as responsible of the Lighting Design Centre of Targetti group. From 1992 to 1996 she cooperates with Alessandro Mendini being involved in exhibitions and editorial projects. As designer she works for lighting and furniture companies and she participates to exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Among her personal activities there are the collaboration with Domus review and interior design for living and working spaces.

In 2007 she founds the society Scialuppa with Fabio Pansera, creative container in the field of product and management design.

From 1998 she is partner with Paolo Cesaretti of the VC A Studio, Vannini Cesaretti Architects. The office deals with communication architecture working in particular for companies, public and private corporations in the field of information technology, fashion, entertainment and culture. The favourite areas of study are interior and exhibit design for commercial and expositive places, both permanent and temporary. Additional working areas are product design and interior planning, from the design of single furniture to more complex living spaces. Together, Vannini & Cesaretti, won in 2001 the competition for the image of the new bank branch of Fideuram Bank; in 2002 they completed the image project for Borbonese stores in Europe and Japan. In 2003 VC A obtained the second prize in the section Interior Design at the National Competition of Ideas for the Ideal Office proclaimed by Italian Prime Minister’s Office. They are also authors of the expositive plan for the mass distribution house finishing program of the the United Colors of Benetton (ADI Design Index 2004 selection). Their job has been part of the Exhibition “Vuoto X Pieno_Architettura Temporanea in Italia” at Milan Triennale. Actually VC A is studying a new communication project for Ipercoop stores.

Teacher of Master in Interior Design at the Polytechnic Design School, guest professor at the Domus Academy, teacher of the Master in Exhibition Design at Milan Polytechnic. She is also member of IDEA, Italian Association of Exhibition Designers.
